Priddy Brothers is a cutting-edge company created to develop, produce and distribute independent films that explore with respect, grace and artistry the depth and breadth of the human experience. Visual imagery and great storytelling—when intricately and skillfully interwoven into a film—can shape, inspire and ignite dialogue about life's many challenges and complexities. Today's independent films are experiencing a breakthrough with audiences who increasingly resonate with story-driven themes and true-to-life characters engaging real circumstances and responding in believable ways. The independent filmmaker responds with remarkable, believable stories starring ordinary people and devoid of the trendy, spendy special effects that so often characterize today's Hollywood fare.
Down-to-earth dialogue birthed in the visual and mental exchange of ideas through interaction with a great story has the power to inspire an audience—individually and collectively—to engage in thought-provoking, contemplative and reflective attitudes and discussion about even the most complex issues.
Staunch supporters of young filmmakers, the Priddys were instrumental in launching the Windrider Forum (during Sundance Film Festival) where lively, creative workshops, screenings and discussions allow both cutting-edge graduate and undergraduate film students to interact with the year's top film projects.
The Priddys are long-time sponsors of the Angelus Student Film Awards (rated by MovieMaker magazine as America's premiere student film festival) and creators of the Triumph Award, given annually to a live-action film that best represents the spirit of redemption-hope, transformation and perseverance.
